• Declaration of the Báb

    The Declaration of the Báb, occurring on May 23, 1844, in Shiraz, Persia, marks the moment Siyyid ‘Alí-Muhammad announced He was a Messenger of God and the Herald of a new era, specifically to prepare the way for Bahá'u'lláh. This event launched the Bábí Faith and is celebrated as one of nine holy days in the Bahá'í calendar.

  • Ascension of Bahá’u’lláh

    Baha’u’llah, the Prophet-Founder of the Baha’i Faith, passed away on 29 May, 1892. This holy day is commemorated by Baha’is all over the world and is known as ‘The Ascension of Baha’u’llah’. The final resting place of Baha’u’llah, the Shrine of Baha’u’llah, is located in Bahji (in present day Israel), and is the Point of Adoration to which Baha’is turn when reciting their Obligatory Prayer.

    A Baha'i fireside is an informal gathering, often held monthly or once every 19 days, designed for open discussion about the Baha'i Faith in a welcoming setting. These meetings aim to share teachings on unity, peace, and spiritual topics, fostering community and answering questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Future sessions will be held at the same time and venue first Friday of each month.
