Feast of Jamál (Beauty)

Once in every nineteen days, meetings are held in every locality by the Bahá’í community. Known as the “Nineteen Day Feast”, these gatherings serve as the bedrock of Bahá’í community life. The Nineteen Day Feast provides an opportunity for the community to gather and discuss its affairs, and for the Local Spiritual Assembly—the local governing council of the Bahá’í community—to keep abreast of the concerns of the community and strengthen its relationship with it. The Ninth Day of Riḍván (meaning “Paradise” in Arabic) — the day on which Bahá’u’lláh’s family joined Him in the Garden of Ridván. Riḍván is a twelve-day festival in the Bahá'í Faith, commemorating Bahá'u'lláh's declaration that he was a Manifestation of God.

Soul Food Devotionals Soul Food is a free community event held on the last Sunday of the month. It provides an opportunity to relax and reflect on inspiring themes. It features live musical performances, audio-visual pieces and readings from various faiths and philosophers, authors, leaders and indigenous cultures, from all over the world.  It’s a space where people of all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds can come together to reflect and celebrate our diversity, and be reminded of the common threads that tie humanity together.

Be part of an informal gathering in a tranquil and friendly environment, where we reflect together on inspiring, spiritual and philosophical themes.  In this meditative space, we read and openly discuss ideas from globally diverse faiths, philosophers, authors, leaders of thought and first-nation peoples.
