Join a vibrant community in Brisbane, devoted to unity, service, and spiritual growth. Whether you’re new to the Bahá’í Faith or looking to make new friends, there’s a place for you here.

The Bahá'í Faith is a worldwide religion based on the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892), the most recent in the series of Divine Messengers who founded the world religions as part of the progressive revelation of God's guidance to humanity.
A central theme of the Bahá'í Faith is that humanity is one family bound together in a common destiny: a global society. Recognition of the oneness of humanity is the key feature of this age, an age in which humankind is approaching its collective maturity. People of goodwill need to come together to collaborate in building vibrant and peaceful communities, in which the spiritual and material progress of all members is considered and everyone feels a sense of belonging and purpose.
In thousands upon thousands of locations around the world, the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith inspire individuals and communities as they work to improve their own lives and contribute to the advancement of civilization.
Bahá'í beliefs address such essential themes as the oneness of God and religion, the oneness of humanity and freedom from prejudice, the inherent nobility of the human being, the progressive revelation of religious truth, the development of spiritual qualities, the integration of worship and service, the fundamental equality of the sexes, the harmony between religion and science, the centrality of justice to all human endeavours, the importance of education, and the dynamics of the relationships that are to bind together individuals, communities, and institutions as humanity advances towards its collective maturity.
Key principles of the Bahá'í Faith:
- Equality of women and men
- Harmony of science and religion
- Abolition of extremes of poverty and wealth
- Elimination of all forms of prejudice
- Equal standard of human rights for all people
Start with a gathering. We meet in homes and community spaces across Brisbane. Prayer, conversation, tea.- Join a class if you want to go deeper. Children's programs, youth groups, study circles.
- Serve with us. We work on community projects because the work matters. Environmental initiatives, neighborhood improvement, supporting people who need it.
- Come to a fireside. Bring friends. Have a real conversation about what the Faith teaches and how it relates to your life.
In neighbourhoods across Brisbane, Bahá’ís and their friends are engaged in a community building process that cultivates love and translates it into action.
Prayer (Devotional) Gatherings
Devotional gatherings are meditative meetings, frequently held in homes or public spaces in neighborhoods to share prayers and contemplate sacred scriptures.
Fireside Conversations
Firesides are for anyone who wants to explore the Bahá'í teachings more deeply. We welcome meaningful conversations with people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
Children’s Classes
Across Australia, a growing number of children from all backgrounds are developing their potential through carefully structured creative activities including storytelling and songs. Children’s classes are held in the neighbourhoods, at the community level and some state schools.
Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program
This program has been specifically designed to empower adolescents aged 11-15 years and help them develop moral, intellectual and spiritual capacities. While inspired by the Bahá’í Faith, the program is not religious instruction and is open to junior youth from all backgrounds.
Study circles
Study circles are informal gatherings that bring small groups of people together to explore the Bahá’í Teachings and their application in daily life.
Social Action
Social action is rooted in the conviction that every population has the right and the capacity to shape the course of its own progress. Rather than importing solutions from outside, these efforts draw on the knowledge and aspirations already present within a community.
