The Bahá’í teachings tell us that all religions are one and that all religions come from one place—God. Firesides are intended for individuals who are interested in getting a deeper understanding of the Bahá’í Faith and its teachings, since Bahá’ís believe that the purpose of religion is to bring people closer together, and welcome meaningful conversations with people from all backgrounds and walks of life. Many Fireside gatherings have been taking place around the world to discuss topics such as world peace, equality of women and men, racism, spiritual solutions to world’s problems and others. The gatherings are infused with a spirit of fellowship and promote dialogue and understanding.

Every fireside centers on conversation about the Faith, but the format is never fixed. Some are built around a short talk followed by open discussion, others are simply a small group gathered over tea, following the conversation wherever it leads. What stays constant is the spirit: an informal, welcoming space where questions are encouraged and everyone’s perspective has room to be heard.
