A couple of months ago, the Sector 3 youth and junior youth were involved in a service project in honour of ʻAbdu’l-Bahá. We collaborated with the Brookfield Rotary Club to make gratitude packs for volunteers at a homeless shelter (3rd Space), and contributed hand-made cards for inclusion in the packs.
Following this, the president of the rotary club invited the youth to a breakfast meeting on 13 October to participate in the handing of the gratitude packs to the CEO of 3rd space. Amelia and I had the pleasure of attending on behalf of the youth and JY.
At the meeting, we had an opportunity to briefly share about the Bahá’í faith and how we as youth are involved in service and community building activities. It was wonderful to meet likeminded individuals in the Westside community and form connections which will enable us to collaborate on future service initiatives.
Here are some photos and a video from the occasion which were shared with us by the rotary club today. These have also been circulated widely by the rotary club to numerous networks and community organisations.
